Saints Announce Addition of Local Standout

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Basketball Head Coach Carmen Maciariello has announced the addition of incoming freshman and local standout Jordan King. The Albany product was named the 2019 Suburban Council Player of the Year while starring for Christian Brothers Academy.

"Jordan is all that we look for in a Saint," said Maciariello. "He's a worker and a fierce competitor. We can't wait to welcome him to campus with open arms."

King averaged 24.1 points, 4.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds while also earning Albany Times Union Large School First Team honors this past season. The 6-0, 185-pound guard was one of just seven players in CBA history to eclipse 1,000 career points. King played AAU for the Albany City Rocks and Mass Rivals.

King is the fifth newcomer to join the Saints' 2019-20 roster, and is one of seven student athletes set to don the Green and Gold for the first time this coming season. King joins a Siena Basketball program which is expected to welcome back 11 letterwinners including three starters from last year's squad which posted a 17-16 overall record and finished tied for second in the MAAC with an 11-7 league mark.
