th nationally in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll released Monday night.

Winners of seven straight, Siena (9-2, 2-0) makes its first appearance in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll in nearly five years since being ranked 23
rd in the Jan. 25, 2021 poll. The Saints, who received 70 points in this week's poll, had been amongst others receiving votes in four of the first five polls, with a previous high of 32 points – the 33
rd highest total nationally – in the second poll released Nov. 12.

Siena is the only Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference team ranked in this week's Top-25 Poll, with both Marist (12 points) and Quinnipiac (five) amongst others receiving votes. Perennial national power Gonzaga tops this week's polling with 773 points and 29 first-place votes.

Now in its 27
th season of existence, the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 Poll represents the top teams from 23 different conferences. The voting panel, chaired by Queens Head Coach Grant Leonard, is comprised of 31 head coaches representing teams from those conferences. Former Pac-12 schools Oregon State and Washington State are not eligible for the Poll.

Siena is off to the program's sixth 9-2 start – and first in 27 years dating back to the 1998-99 MAAC Championship season – since opening 10-1 during the 1950-51 campaign. The Saints seven-game win streak – which was accomplished over the span of just 17 days – matches the program's longest since running off a program record-tying 16 straight victories from Feb. 7, 2020 – Jan. 16, 2021.

Siena returns to action following the University's final exams period when they take on perennial America East power Vermont on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. in Burlington.
