Callanan Field House
Part of the opening of the Marcelle Athletic Complex in 1992, the Callanan Field House bears the name of the Callanan Industries, Inc - the company which benefactor Alfonso "Doc" Marcelle was President of for many years.
The space has seen many renovations, the first being in 2004 with the addition of a $1 million project that houses Siena's baseball, softball and men's and women's soccer teams, and includes the state-of-the-art 32-seat Turchi Theater. The next would come in Siena's final phase of their large MAC complex project that culminated in the spring of 2018 with the enhancement of the student, faculty and staff fitness center. Phase 2 featured the addition of an 8,725 square foot second story to the Callanan Field House Fitness Center which overlooks the Siena's baseball field, Connors Park. The air-conditioned facility includes ample weight and cardio training equipment to service the Siena community.
The field house serves as a multi-purpose area for both athletics and Siena University throughout the school year and summer months.
