Palm Coast, Fla. - The Siena women's golf team opened up it's spring season with a tri-match against Jacksonville University and Bethune-Cookman College at the Palm Harbour Country Club. The Saints placed third with a 380 team total on the par-72, 6,013-yard layout. It was the first time the Saints saw action on a course this season while facing the two schools from Florida. Jacksonville University's Katie Quinney took home medalist honors with a five-over-par 77.
Siena was led by Bridgette Palin (Rehobath, Mass.) who netted an 89 to finish in tenth place, and Stephanie Reeves (Clifton Park, N.Y.) who turned in a 93 to place 11th. Reeves is coming off an impressive fall season where she finished as the top Siena golfer in four of the team's five matches. Rounding out the scoring in the tri-match were Nancy Padula (Liverpool, N.Y.) who carded a 96, senior Vanessa Andrews (West Dover, Vt.) with 102, and Shawna Carroll (Niskayuna, N.Y.) with a 104.
The Saints will next be in action on April 8 at the Boston College Invitational in Cape Cod, Mass.
