Osterville, Mass. - Siena freshman Bridgett Palin (Rehobath, Mass.) turned a two-day total of 186 to finish in a tie for 27th place at the Boston College Invitational at the Oyster Harbors Golf Club in Osterville, Mass. As a team, the Saints placed ninth out of 13 teams while playing in a field that included teams from the Big East, Ivy League and the MAAC. The tournament was won by the University of Hartford who turned in a two round total of 676 (338-338) which put them in first place by 23 strokes, while the Saints finished with a 770 (387-383). Hartford's Kristy Finlayson took home medallist honors with a seven-over-par 155 (78-77) on the par-74, 5,814 yard layout.
Palin's two rounds of 91 and 95 placed her in a three-way tie for 27th place at 38-over-par. Sophomore Stephanie Reeves (Clifton Park, N.Y.) fired back-to-back rounds of 95 to finish in a tie for 37th at 190, while Nancy Padula (Liverpool, N.Y.) finished a shot back after turning in rounds of 98 and 93. Rounding out the scoring for the Saints were senior Vanessa Andrews (West Dover, Vt.) and Shawna Carroll (Niskayuna, N.Y.) who finished in a three-way tie for 54th place with a two round total of 206.
