Siena defeated Temple 1-0 handing the Owls their first loss at home this season and ending Temple's three game winning streak in a Saturday, afternoon game at Temple Stadium. The loss drops the Owls' record to 4-2 overall.
Siena sophomore midfielder Erin Beam scored the game-winning goal in the 31st minute off a rebound from Owls' keeper Kristen Bakia (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan). Bakia starting her first game of the season, replacing injured freshman goalkeeper Jackie Mauro (Philadelphia, Pa/Arch Bishop Ryan) was solid in goal posting five saves. Temple's offensive attack produced just six shots on goal.
The Saints are off until this weekend when they visit MAAC rivals Fairfield and Iona on Saturday and Sunday.
