LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - After leading Siena to a six-win improvement over the previous season, women's soccer coach Steve Karbowski was named Northeast Region Coach of the Year Runner-up by Soccer Buzz Magazine.

Karbowski molded a young team that finished 4-12-2 in 2000 and led the Saints to a 10-8 record this season. Dartmouth's Erica Walsh was named the region's Coach of the Year.

The best may be yet to come for Siena as all but one letterwinner from this year's team returns next season.
