Siena College freshman Sal Jeraci (West Harrison, N.Y./Harrison) has been selected Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Football League Rookie of the Week. Jeraci carried the ball six times for 22 yards and a the deciding touchdown in the Saints 20-19 victory over St. John's on Saturday.

Jeraci has played in all eight games this season for the Saints and is second on the team in rushing with just over 30 yards per game. He is part of a deep unit of running backs that have Siena among the MAAC leaders in rushing with 122 yards per game. Jeraci led Harison High School to the New York State semi-finals as a senior last season.

Jeraci and the Saints return to action at Sacred Heart this weekend as they attempt to garner the program's first four-win season since 1998. Should Siena top Marist in the season finale at Heritage Park on November 16, it would be the first time since the 1997 season that Siena has finished with a .500 or better conference record.
