Freshman Christie Gustafson had 22 kills and 17 digs to lead Siena past Rider 3-1 in a MAAC match contested in Lawrenceville Saturday afternoon. The Saints won the first game 30-20, the second 30-27 and the decisive fourth 30-24 following a temporary 30-24 setback in the third.

Gustafson topped four Saints in double figure kills. Lauren Weber added 15, Amy Christensen had 11 and Christa Glenn chipped in 10. Freshman Katie Borrett collected 50 assists and nine digs in her setter role. Weber led all players with 23 digs and Diana Weirzba has 12 for a much improved Siena defense.

Riedr was paced by Stefanie Lombardo and Megan Smith who had 13 and 10 kills respectively. Siena concludes its conference southern swing at Loyola tomorrow afternoon.
