STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - Ken Lockhart ran for a pair of second-quarter touchdowns as Stony Brook opened its season with a 31-3 rout of Siena on Saturday night.
Quarterback T.J. Moriarty rushed 6 yards for a score and threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Sal Davis.
Moriarty finished 20-for-29 for 231 yards. He was intercepted twice.
Lockhart scored from 2 yards out early in the second quarter and from the 1-yard line minutes later. Moriarty followed with his 6-yard run minutes before halftime for a 24-0 lead.
Siena (0-2) avoided a shutout when Charles Conklin kicked a 23-yard field goal in the third quarter to make it 24-3.
