Siena junior golfer Jillian Blanchard shot a team-best 77 to lead the Saints women's team, and teammates Laura Woolgar, 42- 40- 82 and Melissa Agostinelli, 41-41-82 tie for fifth at the 2004 Hofstra University Men's and Women's Golf Invitational on the Red Course at Bethpage State Park Friday afternoon.

Host Hofstra women are in fifth place in the seven-team field with a 360 (+80) team score, trailing first place Siena College (326) by 34 strokes on the par-70, 6,206-yard course. Rounding out the Saints top 20, freshman Bridget Erwin, 42-43-85 and junior Rachel Scalzo, 43-45-88.

The Saints look to claim their third first place finish in the second and final round will be held on the Red Course beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
