Women's Golf Places 20th at William and Mary Invitational

The Siena College women's golf team finished in 20th place at the William and Mary Invitational at Ford's Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va. this weekend. James Madison University captured in the 23-team field.

The Saints' two-day total of 688 (349, 339) was a good 37 strokes ahead of 21st-place Hampton University (725) and nine behind Rutgers University (677), who took the 19th spot overall. The Dukes captured the tournament championship with a 618 (310,308) while Yale University (621), Princeton University (622), Ohio University (627) and Elon Unversity (631) rounded out the top-five.

Laura Woolgar led the Saints with a 161 (85,76), landing her in a six-way tie for 40th-place, individually. Megan Angis and Samantha Rossi also found themselves among the tournament's top-100, finishing in a tie for the 100th spot (175).
