Final Stats
The Siena College women's soccer team lost to Columbia this afternoon after the Lions received goals from midfielder Shannon Munoz and defender Lucie Kroening en route to a 2-0 shutout in the Governors Classic at the University at Albany.
In the 26th minute, Munoz gave Columbia a 1-0 lead with her second goal of the season. Munoz took a pass from Emma Judkins to slip pass Saints goalkeeper Noel Cox, who recorded one save in the contest.
Just 13 minutes later, the Lions made it 2-0 when Kroening scored off an assist from forward Courtney Nasshorn.
Columbia out-shot the Saints 9-4 for the match. Four Saints recorded a shot in the setback.
The win takes Columbia's record to 5-2 while Siena drops to 2-5 on the season. The Saints finished the tournament with a 1-1 split.
Siena looks to add another win on Wednesday as they host Temple at 4 pm.
