Volleyball Splits on Final Day of Holy Cross Classic

The Siena volleyball team split a pair of Saturday matches at the Holy Cross Invitational, finishing the Tournament with a 1-2 record. Siena defeated host Holy Cross 3-1 before suffering a 3-1 setback to Youngstown State. Three Saints posted double-digit kills in the Holy Cross victory, led by Christie Gustafson's 13. Abbie Maciolek had 43 assists and three kills in just four attempts. Siena sprinted to a 2-0 lead, before dropping the third game 30-26. The Saints rebounded to win the match with a 30-26 game four triumph. Gustafson again starred in the final match of the Tournament, leading all players with 16 kills. Jessica Fraley collected 15 kills in a winning effort for Youngstown State. The Saints won the first game 30-26 before dropping the next three. Siena returns to action Tuesday at Hartford.
