Final Stats
Dana Golino led the Siena swimming team to a split with Connecticut foes Sacred Heart and Fairfield Saturday afternoon in Loudonville. Golino won both the 100 and 200 backstroke and added a victory in the 100 butterfly to pace Siena which defeated Sacred Heart 72-57 and lost to Fairfield 95-43.
In addition to Golino, Kaitlin Krause posted a victory in the 200 freestyle and Ashley Serrago placed second in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events. Krause finished second in the 200 breaststroke later in the meet.
Siena's 200 medley relay team of Shanna Allen, Krause, Golino and Serrago placed second. Serrago and Krause teamed with Megan Dobbins and Allen in the 200 free to close the competition, again placing second.
The Saints improve to 2-4 on the season. The team travels to Manhattan next Saturday for a MAAAC match with the Jaspers.
