WEST HARTFORD, CT - The Siena College women's golf team sits in third place after the first round of play at the Hartford Invitational on Monday at Wampanoag Country Club.

St. John's University leads the field of 13 after shooting a team score of 340 in the opening round. Hartford is five shots back at 345 while Siena College (349), Long Island University (352) and Lehigh University (352) round out the top five.

St. John's Jennifer Rhee carded the low round of the day, shooting 40 on both the front and back nine for a total of 80. Three golfers are a shot back while two others, including Siena's Jillian Blanchard are within three.

The final round of the Hartford Invitational will wrap up on Tuesday, April 12. The shotgun start is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
