HANOVER, N.H--The Siena women's golf team finished the two-day tournament with a final round of 625 on Sunday in the annual Dartmouth Women's Invitational to finish second out of 17 teams at the Hanover Country Club. The Saints posted a round of 15-over 314 on the final day, continuing the improvement from Saturday when Siena opened with a round of 311.
Columbia University, led by medalist Sara Ovadia, won the team title, shooting a two round total 148 after winning a play-off over Harvard's Ali Bode. The Saints, who entered the final 18 holes in second and trailing leader Columbia by four, finished 15 strokes behind. Junior Laura Woolgar (Pearl River, N.Y.) paced the Saints, shooting a 10-over 154 to finish eighth, recording her second top-10 finish.
Senior Jillian Blanchard (North Dartmouth, Mass.), claimed ninth place as she shot an 11-over 155, two strokes ahead of teammate Melissa Agostinelli (Rochester, N.Y.) who finished tied for 12th with a score of 157. Sophomore Bridget Erwin (Syracuse, N.Y.) and junior Megan Angis (Saco, Maine) rounded out the Saints score tied for 21st and 52nd, respectively.
Siena will next participate in the Princeton Invitational Sept. 24-25 in Princeton, N.J.
