Sept. 30, 2005

Final Stats

Central Connecut posted a .454 attack percentage and didn't allow Siena to reach 20 points in any of the three games in a 3-0 shutout of Siena in Loudonville Friday night. Nadiege Honore led all players with 12 kills and 12 digs in a losing effort for the Saints.

They pulled away for an easy 30-18 win in game one behind the strong play of setter Brynn Good. Good collected 11 digs and dished out 34 assists for the visitors. CCSU took an early lead in the second game as well, registering a .500 attack percentage on its way to a 30-19 triumph. In the third game, the two teams sparred for the first half of the match, with Siena holding a 15-14 edge at one point. The Blue Devils scored 16 of the matches final 18 points to take the game 30-17 and the match 3-0.

In addition to Honore, senior captain Liz Hubbard had 10 kills in 21 attempts for Siena (9-7). Freshman Kathi Kobayashi had 11 digs.

Central Connecticut's balanced offensive effort was led by Chantelle Bowden's 11 kills. Teammate Jacqui Jackson was the only other player with double digit kills.

The match was the first of a four-game homestand for Siena, which had played 14 of its first 15 matches away from home. The Saints will look to regroup quickly as they take on Quinnipiac at 2 p.m. Sunday.
