Morgan Sweany had 24 kills as Stony Brook edged past Siena 3-2 in Long Island Friday night. Nadiege Honore had 14 kills to lead Siena's attack.
The Seawolves won the first game 30-16, but Siena rallied for 31-29 and 30-26 wins in the second and third games. The Seawolves won the fourth game 30-23 and the decisive fifth 15-10.
The Saints offense was sharp for the third straight game. Liz Hubbard killed 13 of her 27 attempts and Christie Gustafson chipped in 11.
Freshman Kathi Kobayashi led Siena's defense with 17 digs. Setter April London had 43 assits.
The Saints will play their final two games in the Holiday Inn Classic Saturday afternoon.
