Volleyball Streaks Past Marist 3-0

Freshmen Burgandy McCurty and Kaui Robello combined for 25 kills as Siena made short work of Marist 3-0 (30-16, 30-11, 30-24) in Poughkeepsie Wednesday night. McCurty killed 70% of her attacks, while Robello added a career-high six service aces.

Siena hit a robust .448 as a team, finishing the match with 55 kills, compared to just 30 for Marist. Nadiege Honore had nine kills, hitting .533. Sophomore standout April London had 44 assists, four aces and five kills in just six attempts (.833).

Kathi Kobayashi led Siena's defensive effort with 13 digs. Robello had nine and Honore added eight.

The Saints coasted to 30-16 and 30-11 win in the first two games and took a 30-24 win in the third. It was the team's ninth win in the past 10 matches. Siena improved to a perfect 7-0 in the MAAC, setting up Saturday's showdown with 5-0 Fairfield in Loudonville at 2 p.m.
