WEST HARTFORD, CT - The Siena College women's golf team finished seventh at the Hartford Invitational on Tuesday at Wampanoag Country Club.

St. John's University, which led the field of 12 teams after the first round of play, improved its team score to 314 in the second round to win the tournament with a two-day total of 640. Boston College finished as runner-up with a score of 666, followed by Monmouth University (678), Hartford (691) and Lehigh University (703).

The Saints also had the top two individual finishers in Bridget Erwin and Megan Angis. Erwin carded an 86 in the final round for a two-day total of 171. Angis finished two shots back at 173 after shooting 83 in the final round. St. John's Christin Thomson took individual honors after carding a 75, the lowest score of the tournament, to lead the field of 62 with a two-day total of 155.

Senior Jillian Blanchard finished 33rd at 180 while Rachel Scalzo posted 189 for 44th. Senior Lauren Shaia rounded out the Saints scoring with 216.

Siena look to capture their sixth crown at the 2006 JetBlue Airways MAAC Golf Championships at the Magnolia Golf Course in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl on April 28-30,
