Volleyball Drops Two in Arizona

Final Stats

The Siena volleyball dropped its final two games at the Four Points Sheraton Arizona Invitational Saturday. The Saints lost to San Francisco 3-0 and Northern Colorado 3-0.

Christie Gustafson led the Saints with nine kills in the opener, but San Francisco won the match 30-27, 30-19 and 30-18.

Right side hitter Kelly Hummell connected on 31% of her attacks. Sophomore setter April London had 26 assists and tied for the team lead with eight digs.

San Francisco was led by Kristen Hasselberg who has 11 kills.

In the nightcap, Dulcie Stone led Northern Colorado with a match-high 13 kills.

UNC held on for a 30-23, 30-22 and 30-27 victory.

Freshman Burgandy McCurty led the Saints with eight kills. London had 28 assists and 10 digs. She also killed three of her four attacks.

Siena, now 0-3 on the season, returns to action next weekend in the Syracuse Big Orange Classic.
