Princeton Invitational First Round Results

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Siena women's golf team shot a 330, placing them in sixth place after the first round of Saturday's Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J. Junior Melissa Agostinelli (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas) shot a five-over-par 77, earning her a tenth place finish.
Host, Princeton University currently sits atop all other teams in first place with a score of 290. Individually, Princeton's Annika Welander shot a three-under-par 69, placing her in first place.
Rounding out the top-five finishing teams were Harvard University in second place, Saint John's University in third place and Lehigh University in fourth place, followed by the University of Pennsylvania in fifth place.
For the Saints, senior standout Laura Woolgar (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) fired an 82, finishing tied for 24th. Senior Megan Angis (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy) and freshman Bridget Carr both finished tied in 44th place after shooting an 86, while junior Bridget Erwin (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) complimented her teammates, shooting an 87 and finishing tied in 49th place.
The Saints looked to move up the leader board tomorrow in the second and final round of the 2006 Princeton Invitational.
