Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena women's soccer team used Susie Blaisdell's game winning goal in the 26th minute to get past Rider (5-8-3, 1-5-0) 2-1 this afternoon in West Windsor, N.J. The victory marks the Saints fourth league win as they improved to fifth place in the MAAC.
Siena (7-8-1, 4-3-0) freshman Tabitha Tice continued her stellar rookie campaign as she notched the first goal of the contest with 8:14 on the clock. Tice took a pass from fellow freshman Susan Schneck and connected on her eighth score of the season.
Soon after, Blaisdell extended Siena's advantage to 2-0 when she placed a shot into the back of the net thanks in part to a precise crossing pass from Tice. The Saints entered the half with a two goal cushion.
