Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena women's golf team completed three rounds of play finishing 10th in the 14 team field at the Columbia Roar-ee Invitational held at the Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. this weekend. Freshman Catherine Shomo led all Siena competitors for the second straight competition, placing in a tie for 35th overall.
Brigham Young ran away with the team title, finishing 23 strokes ahead of their nearest competitor in Harvard. Siena shot a three round team total of 1055 for its 10th place showing.
After struggling in the first round with a score of 92, Shomo rebounded with a pair of solid showings in the final two rounds, firing an 83 and 82. Bridget Carr completed play second amongst Siena competitors, with her best round being her final one where she shot an 87.
The Saints return to action for a rare Monday-Tuesday competition when they head west for the BGSU Falcon Invitational in Bowling Green, Ohio.
