Loudonville, N.Y. - The Siena women's golf team placed 11th overall in a crowded 14 team field at the Hoya Women's Invitational hosted by Georgetown in Beallsville, Md. Freshmen Catherine Shomo and reigning MAAC Women's Golfer of the Month Katelynn Mannix each had solid performances, placing in the top-40 individually.
Princeton won the overall team title with a three round score of 918, edging out second place Rollins College which shot 921. The Saints finished with a final team score of 1022.
Shomo led all Siena competitors, finishing tied for 35th overall with rounds of 80, 83 and 85. Mannix finished just two strokes behind her with a three round score of 250.
The Saints return to the links on April 11 for the Columbia Roar-EE Invitational in Mamaroneck, N.Y.
