Loudonville, N.Y. - Two-time defending MAAC Women's Golfer of the Month Katelynn Mannix shot a course best even par round of 72 this afternoon as the Saints continue to lead following the second day of the MAAC Women's Golf Championships in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Siena holds a 27 stroke overall lead on Fairfield entering tomorrow's final round of competition.
Mannix, a freshman, who was named MAAC Women's Golfer of the Month for March and April, continued to live up to the billing as she captured the individual lead this afternoon with a two round score of 155. Mannix leapfrogged six other golfers on Day Two to take the top billing.
In all, Siena boasts five of the top seven golfers in the field including fellow freshmen Catherine Shomo (3rd) along with Bridget Erwin (4th), Bridget Carr (5th) and Melissa Agostinelli (T-7th).
The Saints will look to win their eighth straight MAAC title if they can hold their sizeable lead for the final 18 holes tomorrow. Tee time is set for 8:30 a.m.
