WGOLF Lehigh Final Results
Junior tri-captain Katelynn Mannix and freshman Megan Cahill each shot rounds of 76 Sunday as the Siena women's golf team ascended to a seventh place finish at the Kelly Gutshall Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa. Mannix's score was good enough to give her a top-10 finish for the first time this fall.
Harvard (633) won the 36-hole event, with host Lehigh's Rosie Davies (78-76) and Yale's Harriet Owers-Bradle (79-75) tying for the individual crown.
After competing in tough weather conditions on Saturday, the Saints (672) rebounded on Sunday to shoot 28 strokes better as a team. The Saints' round of 322 was the third-best on the course over the final 18 holes.
Mannix (83-76) finished just five strokes off the lead in putting together solid back-to-back weekends as her game has started to peak. Cahill meanwhile shot the best round of her young career in finishing tied for 26th overall.
The Saints return to action Saturday for their final fall event at the Central Connecticut Invitational in New Britain, Conn.
