WGOLF Lehigh Round One

The Siena women's golf team ranks eighth overall following the completion of the first round of the Kelly Gutshall Invitational on Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa. Junior tri-captain Katelynn Mannix leads the Siena contingent, standing tied for 19th overall.

Columbia (312) holds a comfortable six-stroke lead over Harvard following the first 18 holes. The Saints (350) are eighth in the 10-team field.

After shooting a 45 on the front-nine, Mannix responded with an impressive score of 38 on the back-nine which was third best. She did all this despite completing the last few holes in darkness and sub-freezing temperatures.

The final round gets underway Sunday morning.
