CCSU Invite Results
Katelynn Mannix and Catherine Shomo each posted top-10 finishes to lead the Siena women's golf team to a fourth place finish in their final fall event at the Central Connecticut State Fall Invitational Sunday in New Britain, Conn. The Saints finished with a score of 680 over the 36-hole competition.
Hartford (645) won the team crown, with the Hawks' Sarah Sideranko and Emily Linn tying for the individual title with 36-hole scores of 160. Sideranko took the victory however, winning on a playoff hole.
After Saturday's action was postponed due to inclement weather, the Saints shot rounds of 339 and 341 on Sunday. Mannix (83-81), was tied for sixth overall and finished just four strokes off the lead, while Shomo (80-86) placed eighth.
The Saints return to action for the spring portion of their 2009-10 schedule next March.
