Siena finished off a strong volleyball weekend with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22 and 25-15) sweep of Saint Peter's Saturday in Loudonville. Aubrey Bobo and Burgandy McCurty each posted a match-high 15 kills and both players registered an attack percentage over .400.
McCurty rounded out her eighth double-double of the season with 10 digs. Setter Kau'i Robello finished with 47 assists in the three sets and libero Lesli Akeo led all players with 16 digs.
The Saints dominated the first set, establishing their dynamic attack in a resounding 25-12 win. They broke free late for a 25-22 win in the second set, and, after intermission, coasted home with a 25-15 win in the third.
Siena improves to 11-12 overall and 9-5 in MAAC play. Saint Peter's falls to 7-19 and 4-10 in the MAAC.
The Peahens were led by Stephanie Phillips and Kim Mendoza who each had six kills. Kassi Wirth and Monique Flores recorded five kills apiece.
McCurty is also emerging as Siena's best server. She had two of the team's three aces. Saint Peter's finished with just two aces and had eight service errors.
Siena hit .330 for the match.
Siena has a huge weekend of conference play starting Saturday when they face Canisius at 2 p.m. in a game that could decide the final spot in the MAAC Tournament.
