Siena Stops Manhattan 3-0

Aubrey Bobo led the way with 17 kills and Sarah Sivertson and Burgandy McCurty added 12 each as the Saints made quick work of Manhattan, 3-0 (25-13, 26-24 and 25-16), in Riverdale Sunday. Siena won its final six matches of the regular-season to claim the #3 seed in next weekend's MAAC Championships in Buffalo.

The Saints (15-12/13-5) started off with an impressive 25-13 win in the first set as the Jaspers hit -.081. Manhattan responded in the second set before dropping a competitive 26-24 decision. Siena coasted to a 25-16 win in the third set.

Bobo hit .455 for the match and Sivertson posted a .435 attack percentage. For the match, Siena hit .355 and held a 56-36 edge in digs.

Rita Welsh led Manhattan with nine kills.

Freshman Lesli Akeo had 17 digs to pace the Siena defense. Setter Kau'i Robello had a double-double with 42 digs and 10 assists.

The Saints claim the #3 seed in the MAAC Tournament and they will face #2 seed Niagara in the semifinals of the MAAC Tournament next Sunday in Buffalo.
