Saints Surge to Sixth at Dartmouth Invitational

Freshman Megan Cahill shot a team-best round of 78 to position the Siena women's golf team to a tie for sixth place standing following the first round of the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H. The Saints remain within striking distance entering Sunday's final round, just 12 strokes off the lead.

Towson (311) enters Sunday's final round in the lead, with MAAC rival Fairfield (314) just three strokes off behind. The Saints, which shot a team score of 323, had each of its members improve on the back-nine as compared to their front-nine scores.

Cahill (40-38-78) led the way finishing Saturday tied for 14th overall, although she trails clubhouse leader Eunice Yim of Boston College by just three strokes.

Senior captain Bridget Carr shot a 80, while fellow captain Catherine Shomo scored an 82 to round out the Saints top-three finishers.

The final round of the Dartmouth Invitational concludes Sunday.
