Final Stats

St. John's rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take the final three sets in a 3-2 (23-25, 19-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-10) win over visiting Siena Tuesday night in Queens. Aubrey Bobo (17 kills, 15 assists) and Burgandy McCurty (18 kills, 12 assists) posted double doubles for the Saints.

With the first set tied at 23-23, the Saints posted back-to-back points on a Bobo kill and an ace by senior captain Kau'i Robello. Siena jumped out to a 13-6 lead in the second set and controlled the action to take a 2-0 lead into intermission.

Freshman setter Eliazbeth Ives started and played well to help the Saints stake claim to the early 2-0 lead. She returned in the fifth set after the Red Storm battled back to tie the match. Ives finished with 24 assists and four digs in three sets.

St. John's relied on middle hitter Darlene Radmin who finished with a match-high 26 kills and was in on six blocks. Libero Ashley Asing had a match-high 20 digs and Kun Song collected 15 kills and 11 digs in the win.

The Red Storm rallied to win the third set (25-18) despite posting a match-low .125 attack percentage, taking advantage of eight Siena attack errors. They had 13 kills and just four errors in taking the fourth set (25-19) and finished 80% of their sideout opportunities to win the fifth (15-10).

Siena will look to get back on track when they return to the Big Apple this weekend to participate in the Long Island University Invitational. The Saints play Georgia Friday at 5 p.m.
