LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Seniors Brittany Pavolko and Molly Chamberlain won four events each Wednesday evening, leading the swimming and diving team to the first victory of the Paul Kueterman era, a 196-102 win over Holy Cross.
Pavolko helped win the first event of the meet, the 200 medley relay, and things only got better from there. Her next win was in the 200 fly, where her time of 2:11.02 was less than half a second away from her own pool record.
"That was a great race," said Kueterman. "Even better, it'll set her up really well for seeding at the MAAC Championships."
Pavolko also added wins in the 200 back and 100 fly. Meanwhile, Chamberlain swept the 100, 200, and 500 free events, and also led off the winning 200 free relay team in the final race of the night.
Several other Saints took home multiple wins as well. Caitlyn Biagioli and Katie Ness each took first three times, and Britney Anderer won twice.
In diving, it was business as usual for reigning MAAC Diver of the Week Elizabeth Rice. Rice won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events for the second meet in a row, and the junior now has five wins in the six events she's competed in.
"Liz came through again," Kueterman said. "She just continues to show her leadership and continues to get better."
Siena will next compete on November 5th, when they take on Canisius and Duquesne at a tri meet in Buffalo. Their next home meet is scheduled for December 4th against C.W. Post.
