The Saints made it three wins in a row Friday, defeating Duquesne and MAAC opponent Canisius at a tri meet in Buffalo. Siena topped Duquesne 57-48, and cruised over Canisius 82-29.
Senior Molly Chamberlain led the way for Siena (3-2) with three victories on the day. She first swam the anchor leg in the meet-opening 200 medley relay, which also included senior Caitlyn Biagioli and sophomores Britney Anderer and Kaela Bjornberg. Chamberlain also took first in both the 200 and 500 free events.
Also making waves for the Saints was junior diver Elizabeth Rice. Rice, who won her second consecutive MAAC Women's Diver of the Week award this past week, once again swept the one and three-meter diving events for her sixth and seventh victories of the season. Additionally, her score of 249.36 in the one-meter event set a new pool record.
Anderer, Katie Ness, and Brittany Pavolko all won two events apiece. Ness also finished third in the 100 free. Freshman Dana Tricarico was also a winner for the Saints, swimming third on the winning 200 free relay team also featuring Ness, Anderer, and Pavolko.
Siena jumps right back into the pool Saturday, as they take on MAAC opponent Niagara.
