Senior captain Catherine Shomo continued her hot start to the fall season, leading Siena Women's Golf to a third place standing following the First Round of the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H. Shomo's round of 75 puts her just three strokes off the lead.

Boston College (306) opened a nine stroke lead over Towson through the first 18 holes of the Par-72, 5,807 yard course at the Hanover Country Club. The Saints shot a team score of 323, keeping them in contention near the top of the leaderboard in a 22-team field.

Additionally, the Saints enjoy a nine stroke advantage over the nearest MAAC school, Fairfield, which checks in seventh. All six MAAC Women's Golf Institutions are participating in the event, but are well off the pace of the 10-time defending conference champion Saints.

Shomo, who has shot sub-80 scores in all four rounds this fall, shot a 36 on the front nine to lead the field at the turn before finishing up with her score of 75 which ties her for fifth overall. Hartford's Sarah Sideranko recorded an even par round of 72 to lead the field.

Katelynn Mannix checked in with a 79 to place tied for 14th to round out the Siena leaders.

The final round of the Dartmouth Invitational tees off Sunday morning.
