The Saints served notice to the other five MAAC Women's Golf Teams this weekend that the 10-time defending conference champions are alive and well and primed to defend their title next spring. In the first event of the fall that featured each of the MAAC institutions, the Saints ran away from their conference foes to finish fourth overall at the Dartmouth Invitational.

Siena (635) finished a whopping 25 strokes ahead of their nearest conference competitor, Fairfield, which tied for seventh.

Additionally, the Saints improved their team score by 11 strokes Sunday to finish near the top of the leaderboard which featured Boston College as the victors.

Even more impressive however was the continued strong start to the fall by senior captain Catherine Shomo who completed her fifth straight sub-80 round. Shomo shot a 74 Sunday, placing tied for third overall and finishing just a single stroke behind BC's Stephanie Hu for the individual crown.

Katelynn Mannix also placed in the top-20 with rounds of 79 and 80, while Cortney Tilley (78) and Kylie Strijek (80) also contributed solid final round scores.

The Saints return to the links Saturday for the Yale Intercollegiate in New Haven, Conn.
