Men's Round Two Scores
Women's Round Two Scores
It was a good day for Siena golf at the MAAC Golf Championships Saturday in Orlando, Florida, as the women stayed atop the leaderboard while the men continued tracking Loyola in second. In addition, Katelynn Mannix and Justin Deitz are both leading the individual standings heading into Sunday's final round.
Mannix's 72 keyed a women's effort that saw a five-shot improvement from day one to day two, and one that expanded Siena's lead to 19 shots over second-place Fairfield. She's one of four Saints near the top of the leaderboard; Kylie Strijek is tied for third, Cortney Tilley sits fifth, and Catherine Shomo is tied for sixth.
Mannix currently holds a seven-shot lead over Fairfield's Kristen MacDonald, who held a share of the first-round lead after both golfers shot 76 on Friday. Strijek and Hartford's Sarah Sideranko are both ten shots off the pace.
Meanwhile, Deitz's second-round 71 tied for the best round of the day on the men's side. He leads the individual standings by a shot over Loyola's Patrick McCormick, and by four over teammate Don DeNyse III, who is tied for third after a second-round 75.
The men's team is just two shots behind the Greyhounds, and Saturday featured another solid team effort. John Van Vranken is seventh, Jess Esposito sits 12th, and David Gushee rounds out the fivesome tied for 13th.
The MAAC Golf Championships conclude Sunday.
