CASTELLANZA, ITALY - While the Saints continue to travel south, their game has headed north. Paced by five players scoring in double figures and with a tenacious defense which induced 39 turnovers, the Saints drilled the TDT Slammers 96-38 Friday morning at Pala Barsani for the squad's first win of its foreign tour.

The Saints led throughout and were buoyed by a huge 30-7 second quarter to take a commanding 52-16 lead into the half. Siena's pressure defense smothered the Slammers leading to numerous easy fast break opportunities.

Lily Grenci led the Saints with 24 points on 8-for-12 shooting while adding seven rebounds. Allison Mullings meanwhile posted her third straight double-digit scoring effort with 14 points, but what was even more impressive was her 10 steals. As a team, the Saints swiped a whopping 30 steals.

Maja Gerlyng (14), Cristina Centeno (12) and Tehresa Coles (11) all added double figure efforts for the Saints which shot 46.6% (34-for-73) from the field and also hit their first three international line three pointers of the tour. The Saints also dominated the glass 48-18 led by Clara Sole Anglada's 12 caroms.

Anna Maria Kammer posted a team-high 12 points for the Slammers which committed more turnovers than shots taken (34).

Following the game, the Saints spent nearly eight hours on the bus, continuing to matriculate south to Rome with a stop first in Siena.

The Saints play their final game of their foreign tour tomorrow when they battle an Italian All-Star team at 7 p.m. local time (1 p.m. ET) in Rome.
