Results
The Siena swimming and diving team was swept in a tri-meet against Colgate University, and host Niagara University. It was the first loss of the season for the Saints against a MAAC opponent.
The best finish for the Saints (6-5-1) occurred in the 400 IM and the 500 free as Siena finished second in both events. Emily Carideo took runner-up in the IM with a time of 4:47.43, only five seconds behind the top finisher, while Jacque Medina completed the 500 free in second, clocking in at 5:17.77.
Siena started off the tri-meet with a second place finish in the 400 medley. The relay team of Katherine Canavan, Amanda York, Kaela Bjornberg, and Shannon Love finished in 4:08.20.
Three other Saints enjoyed top-three finishes. Megan Grace in the 1000 free (10:57.51), Love in 50 free (25.38), and York in the 200 fly (2:14.19).
After defeating the Purple Eagles 172-161 at the Catholic Invite, the Saints were edged by Niagara 125-116, while falling to Colgate 184-56.
Siena will return home to take on MAAC foe Canisius at the Siena Swim Center on November 17 at 1:00 p.m.
