Siena Finishes Ninth at Spider Invitational

Siena women's golf struggled to a ninth-place finish Tuesday at the Spider Invitational in Richmond, Va. Freshman Victoria Nguyen led the Saints at the event, finishing in a tie for 27th.

Nguyen signed for a third-round 79, giving her a three-day total of 238. Cortney Tilley was next best for the Green and Gold, tying for 41st. Meanwhile, freshman Katie Nelson had the team's best round of the day, shooting 78 Tuesday while tying for 47th.

St. John's University won the team title by 10 shots over second-place Georgetown. The Red Storm also brought home individual hardware, as Harin Lee took first place by nine shots.

The Saints return to the course on April 8 at the Brown BEAR Invitational in Providence, R.I.
