Despite dropping four strokes off of their first round score Siena Women's Golf finished fifth in the St. Johns Women's Invitational, after holding a third place standing after round one. Mary Fletcher continued to lead the Saints finishing the Invitational tied for ninth.
The Saints placed four golfers in the top-30, all finishing within 10 strokes of each other. Victoria Nguyen finished two strokes behind Fletcher and tied for 14th overall, while Kristen Bromley and Katie Nelson finishing tied for 17th and 26th, respectively. Fletcher and Nelson finished the Invitational with four birdies leading all Saints. Nguyen finished tied for the lead in pars among individuals recording 23 for the Invitational.
The Saints were leapfrogged in the standings by Rutgers and Towson, who shot the second and third lowest scores of the second round. The Saints dropped four strokes off of their first round score, with three of their five golfers shooting lower second rounds. Siena finished as the top team among MAAC competitors, ahead of Hartford and Monmouth, who finished tied for seventh and 11th. Seton Hall took the top team spot, with their golfer Cassie Pantelas taking home the top individual honor.
