ALBANY, N.Y. - Senior guard Ida Krogh scored 20 of her career-high 27 points in the second half as Siena Women's Basketball fended off Colgate 80-68 at Times Union Center. Freshman forward Margot Hetzke posted her third double-double adding 17 points, 11 rebounds and a season-high four steals for the Saints which secured their second separate three-game winning streak of the young season.

Krogh and Hetzke along with sophomore captain Meghan Donohue combined to score 45 of Siena's (6-4) 51 second half points. Donohue shot a perfect 7-7 from the field in the second half for the Saints which collectively shot 57.1% (16-28) in the stanza.

Big runs dictated play early as a 19-5 Siena run was sandwiched directly in between 7-0 and 12-1 runs by Colgate (1-10). Despite being held without a field goal over the final 5:17 of the first half, Siena took a 29-25 lead at the break.

The Saints came out firing in the second half and opened a nine-point lead, 45-36 on a fastbreak and-one basket by senior guard Tehresa Coles at the 13:05 mark. But Coles injured her left ankle on the play and did not return. She finished in double-figures for a 12th straight game with 10 points and four assists before departing.

But while one senior went down, the other one stepped up. After Colgate rallied to within 63-60 with 4:43 left, Krogh put the game way. She scored 10 of her points over the final 4:52 as Siena won its eighth straight over the Raiders, improving to 15-2 all-time in the series including a perfect 10-0 at home.

Krogh, whose previous career-high of 21 points also came at Times Union Center last year, did a large chunk of her damage from the free throw line. She shot 13-16 from the charity stripe and added five assists for the Saints which snapped a four-game losing streak in Albany.

Missy Repoli led Colgate with a season-high 21 points including 5-8 from three, while Carole Harris added 10 points, nine rebound and four steals.

In the midst a four-game in seven-day stretch, Siena closes out non-conference play Tuesday at the ARC. The Saints host Fairleigh Dickinson for a 7 p.m. tip.
