Junior midfielders Michele Tremblay and Madison Vasquez each scored as Siena Women's Soccer shut out Saint Peter's 2-0 in Jersey City. Freshman goalkeeper Taylor Dorado made two saves to record her second shutout.

Siena (7-5-3, 5-2) held a 16-4 advantage in shots and attempted all five corners of the match to post their 19th straight win over Saint Peter's (1-10-2, 0-6-1). The Saints have outscored the Peacocks 77-8 in head coach Steve Karbowski's 18 seasons at the helm.

Siena out-shot Saint Peter's 8-0 in the first half, and broke through with the opening score in the 17th minute. Vasquez played the ball in to freshman striker Amber Alfonzo, who was posting up in close, and she left it for the cutting Tremblay who one-timed it home. The goal was the team-leading sixth of the season for Tremblay, who also now paces the Saints with three game-winners.

Vasquez capped the scoring with a key insurance tally in the 70th minute. A cross from the right into the box saw a Peacock defender try to kick it out of bounds, but Vasquez won the race to the end line ahead of the Saint Peter's keeper and finished her fifth of the season.

Taylor McLean made six saves for the Peacocks which are winless in their past 26 conference matches (0-25-1).

The victory was a key triumph for Siena which rebounded following back-to-back tough losses to fellow MAAC frontrunner Rider and defending regular season champion and preseason favorite Monmouth. The Saints return to action Wednesday when they host fellow MAAC contender Quinnipiac at 3 p.m.
