Final Stats

Siena Volleyball dropped the match 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-21) to Iona on Sunday. Bobbi Lin Kalama recorded 10 kills to put herself in fourth on Siena's All-Time digs list with 1,378.

Iona (3-15, 1-4 MAAC) started off on a 5-0 run in the first set and they sealed the deal there. The Gaels never gave up the lead. Siena (4-12, 3-3 MAAC) continued to battle, but Iona held them off. The Gaels took the first set 25-18.

Iona started off with a 6-3 lead in the second set. Siena chipped away at the lead and came back and tied the set 7-7. The Gaels went on a 4-0 run to take an 11-7 lead. Both teams continued to battle and Iona took a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-18 win.

The Gaels started the third set off the same way they did the first two. Iona took a 9-5 lead before going on a 3-0 run for a 12-6 lead. The Saints fought hard but could not stop the Gaels. Iona took the third set 25-21.

Briana Flagg led Siena with six kills while Samantha Pethokoukis and Shantraie Rodriguez added five a piece. Haley Howell dished out 18 assists for the Saints. Kalehua Katagiri recorded 17 digs for Siena while Bobbi Lin Kalama added 10. Kalama is now fourth on Siena's all time dig list with 1,378.

The Saints return to the MAC to face reigning MAAC Champions Fairfield on Wednesday, Oct. 5th. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
