Siena Swimming dropped two decisions on Saturday in Vestal, N.Y. The Binghamton Bearcats defeated the Saints 178-94, while the Niagara Purple Eagles got the victory over Siena 209-85. Freshman Rachel Brown won the 200 freestyle for Siena.
Freshman Carrie Bonvissuto started the scoring for the Saints with a fourth place finish in 1000 freestyle (11:20.38). Brown won the next race, the 200 freestyle, for Siena (1:59.62). Brown finished fifth in the 100 freestyle and sixth in the 50 freestyle later in the meet.
Elizabeth Fournier and Julianna Sebastian picked up some more points for Siena in the 200 butterfly as they finished fourth and fifth respectively. Fournier later finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:02.63).
Bonvissuto added a fourth place finish (5:31.84) in the 500 freestyle. Teammate Katie Ludwicki finished next in fifth (5:37.01). Emma Rupert recorded a third place finish in the 200 IM (2:19.75) a few events later for the Saints.
Siena finished the meet with a second place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. Maggie Fletcher, Ludwicki, Alyssa Lewis, and Brown swam in the event for the Saints.
Siena will return home for their next meet on Saturday, October 29 against Vermont at 1 p.m.
