Senior captain Kristen Connors scored twice including the game-winning golden goal with just 72 seconds remaining in the first overtime as Siena Women's Soccer rallied to defeat Fairfield 2-1 in Connecticut. Two-time defending MAAC Offensive Player of the Week Michele Tremblay and junior striker Kelsey Horst assisted on each of Connors' goals.

Just moments after Fairfield (1-9, 0-2) narrowly missed scoring the decisive goal on a shot off the crossbar, Connors struck with the winning tally in the 99th minute. Horst threw in the ball from the right to Tremblay who crossed a ball to the top of the box to Connors who one-timed home the golden goal inside the right post as Siena (4-3-3, 2-0) picked up its eighth straight win against MAAC foes, while also running its conference regular season unbeaten streak to six.

Connors, whose only previous career multi-goal match came in last season's MAAC Championship victory over Manhattan, initially drew the Saints even just 2:11 into the second half. Tremblay played a ball through to Horst who broke in down the right and crossed to an unmarked Connors by the far left post, and she volleyed the ball back across and just inside the right post.

Brenna Brown had initially staked the Stags to an early 1-0 advantage in the 20th minute. The goal was her fourth of the season, as she has now accounted for more than half of Fairfield's seven goals.

Each side managed eight total shots for the match, while the Saints harbored an 8-3 margin in corners in running their unbeaten streak to four.

Kamryn Peffley and Taylor Dorado split time in goal for Siena. Peffley played the first half making one save, while Dorado saw action in the second half and overtime to earn the victory as the Saints' picked up their first win at Lessing Field in seven years.

Jenna Pike made two saves for the Stags which have lost seven straight overall, and are winless in their last nine matches at Lessing Field (0-7-2).

The defending MAAC Champions will look to open 3-0 in conference action for the first time since 2010 when they return to action Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. kickoff at rival Marist.
