Siena Women's Swimming and Diving fell in a Tri Meet to MAAC opponent Niagara 195-99 and non conference rival Binghamton 235-55 in Niagara, New York, Saturday afternoon. Freshman Kylie George recorded two third place individual finishes as well as a fourth place individual finish for the Saints.
In the first event, Siena (0-4) took fourth place in the 200 yard medley relay. The team consisted of senior Fiona Dretzka, George, junior co-captain Elizabeth Fournier, and junior Francesca Tinucci with a time of 1:55.76.
Junior Emma Rupert finished fourth in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:01.06 followed by teammates sophomore Carrie Bonvissuto (11:18.39) and freshman Sydney Lautenslager (11:21.51) in fifth and sixth respectively.
In the 100 yard breaststroke, George placed third with a time of 1:10.62. Senior teammate Erica Askew followed in fifth with a time of 1:11.79.
George and Askew would both come in third and fifth again in the 200 yard breaststroke. George with a time of 2:31.10 and Askew with a time of 2:34.37.
Fournier took fifth in the 100 yard butterfly finishing with a time of 1:02.54 and junior Julianna Sebastian finished seventh in the event with a time of 1:04.80.
In the 400 yard IM George would place fourth and record a time of 4:52.23.
The final event that took place was the 400 yard freestyle relay, Saints came in fourth with a time of 3:49.62. The team consisted of Tinucci, Bonvissuto, sophomore Alyssa Lewis, and sophomore Rachel Brown.
Siena will dive into the pool again on Saturday November 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. when they host Stony Brook at the Siena Swim Center in Loudonville, NY.
