Siena Swimming and Diving was defeated by LIU Post in Brookville, NY this afternoon, 123-79. Sophomore Carrie Bonvissuto helped the Saints with a first place finish in the 500 yd freestyle recording a time of 5:25.98.
In the 1000 yd freestyle junior Emma Rupert and freshman Sydney Lautenslager placed second and third respectively with times of 11:09.02 and 11:20.10.
Junior Francesca Tinucci placed third with a time of 25.99 in the 50 yd freestyle and second in the 100 yd freestyle (55.72).
Senior Erica Askew, freshman Shannon Leary, and Rupert took first, second, and third respectively in the 100 yd breaststroke with times of 1:10.78, 1:13.08, and 1:13.09.
In the final event, Bonvissuto, junior Elizabeth Fournier, sophomore Katelyn Ludwicki, and sophomore Rachel Brown took second in the 400 yd freestyle relay with a time of 3:52.56.
The Saints will return back home for the final time this season in one week for senior day. Siena will host Saint Francis University (PA) at the Siena Swim Center in Loudonville, NY at 1 p.m.
